"Can our perception of time break free from existing cycles and be reconstructed at will?"
Biological Clock is a project inspired by the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, which explored the genetic mechanisms behind circadian rhythms and their impact on living organisms. Translating this scientific phenomenon into visual language, I constructed three conceptual narratives based on the keywords “Origin,” “Sleep,” and “Regular.” These stories serve as both a visualization of scientific inquiry and an artistic reflection on our personal experience of time.
Through posters, installations, texts, and videos, this project investigates the fundamental principles of the biological clock while experimenting with the cyclic nature of time in everyday life. Symbolic objects such as sun handcuffs, spliced soap, and a perpetual motion printer embody the ways time manifests in the body, consciousness, and society.
In the endless cycle of daily life, is time a prison, or can it be reshaped into something fluid?
